Safer
& Stronger Community Group for Boyd Valley and Bitton area
This is a group of local people plus representatives from key local
organisations.
The aim of the group is to support local action in the wards of Boyd
Valley and Bitton that contributes towards a safer and stronger community.
Together we want to work to promote pride in the community as a safe,
thriving and pleasant place to live, work and play.
As a group we want local people to have a greater voice and influence in
their local area and to do this we need people to get involved. If you
have ideas about what could be done to improve the local area then we
would like to hear from you. If you would like to get involved in
identifying local priorities then please get in touch.
The group meets approximately four times a year – these are public
meetings to find out about local issues.

We are a charity based in South Glos & Bristol who offer services for
women, children and young people affected by domestic violence / abuse.
Combined our services provide safe housing, practical & emotional support,
advocacy, information & onward referral through group & individual work
for women, children and young people. We also work closely alongside other
key agencies to deliver services & training as well as strategic & project
development at both a local and regional level.
Together these services help women, children and young people to increase
their safety and move on in their lives, reducing isolation and breaking
the cycle of abuse & violence.
